#minimeltdowns

It’s been a while…

And what a while it has been….

Changed career (excellent), still keeping my head above water (just) and our baby boy is now 19 months (beautiful).

My loving husband and I have had a bit of a roller coaster ride to say the least…. many good, and some not so good, things happening.

Bump2baby Reality’s peri-natal mental health awareness morning in aid of the Coventry and Warwickshire Peri-Natal Mental Health Team earlier this week, actually, brought me back to Reality.

It was amazing.

Helen, Phillipa, Jackie and the Leek Wootton team were outstanding.

Rebecca Hirons (Therapy Warwickshire), Saffron Butcher (Caking and Baking), Adam Bennett (The Cross) and not to mention the Coventry University Midwifery Society team were on good solid form (as always).

Cake baking aside  (definitely not my forte), I took on a barista (coffee and tea maker before you get distracted), fundraiser (not too bad – thanks again #SaksKenilworth) and social media (I’m not very tech savvy – ask Jackie) guru role.

I loved the morning… had a #minimeltdown when I realised I was parked in (gridlock 🙂 ) and had a lovely and productive afternoon.

Mental Health for ante/pre natal Mum AND Dad and post natal Dad AND Mum is very important.

We need to do more to spread the word.

We need to do more to dispel the stigma.
