Sally is both a former NHS Midwife and a former NHS Health Visitor and is now an Antenatal Educator and KGHypnobirthing Practitioner with Bump2baby Reality. She qualified from Leeds University as a Midwife in 2002 and worked for three years at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. Sally then undertook her Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner training at University of Central England, qualifying as a Health Visitor in 2006. She maintained her midwifery registration alongside her health visiting registration and worked for seven years as a Health Visitor in various areas of inner-city Birmingham, supporting families with children from 0-5 years. She then worked for South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust as a Safeguarding Children practitioner, providing safeguarding support to community health professionals and liaising regularly with the midwifery safeguarding team.
Sally went on maternity leave to have her first daughter in 2015, leaving the NHS in 2016 to be a stay-at-home parent, and is now a mum of three! Her second daughter followed in 2017, and her son in 2020 – a lockdown babe! “I have always been fascinated by all things pregnancy and birth related, and I feel very lucky that I have been able to experience it both personally and in my professional life. I am delighted to be part of the Bump2baby Reality team and it is both a pleasure and a privilege to be able to support other local families during such an important time in their lives”.
